Issue 3...

A slightly skimpy issue, I'm afraid.  After the inevitable pre-Christmas rush, there's been depressingly little to talk about in the early weeks of 2009.  It's particularly telling that three out of the top four highest scorers this month come from independent, small-time developers, while the return of certain established franchises results in little more than a dispassionate shrug.  Take note, big guys...

Hopefully the coming months will bring some finer specimens our way.  Blizzard's 2009 roster looks ridiculously exciting, with Diablo III leading the way.  And UbiSoft's intriguing new survive-em-up should appear later in the year.  It's an odd genre-mash that supposedly challenges the way we consider the 'rules' of videogames.  How exciting...

Oh - before I forget - say hi to the new guys!  Andy Johnson joins us as Features Editor, though he doesn't start work properly 'til Issue 4.  Michael Sterrett begins his retro campaign this issue, though, with a glimpse of how movie-tie ins have always been bloody awful.

Next month: an inappropriately-timed horror issue.  You'd think all the big gaming scares would be released around Hallowe'en, wouldn't you?  But no - Cryostasis, F.E.A.R. 2 and NecroVision all hit shelves in the near future.  The only thing we're afraid of is the prospect of reviewing them before March 2nd...

What is Resolution?
Resolution is a monthly videogames e-zine run primarily by a group of egocentric misfits in Leeds, UK.

It's all delivered in the lovely, straightforward format of HTML, so you've no silly PDF files to download. We aim to talk about videogames in the most diverse and relevant way possible, meaning we've the standard 'news and reviews' gubbins, but also plenty of other worthwhile articles for you to cast your watchful eyes over.

We do this because we bloody love videogames, we bloody love writing about them, and we're bloody proud of both of these facts. We hope that you - yes, sir/madam, you! - can share in this gleeful excitement about this most wonderful of creative media, and that you enjoy reading the words what we have written.
